Joshua Rowland, owner of Beacon Plumbing in Houston, is a fifth generation Texas plumber. We have deep roots in Texas and are proud to give back to our local Houston community.

Beacon Hearts is the charitable arm of Beacon Plumbing. Through Beacon Hearts, we are able to bring awareness to causes that are near to our own heart. One cause we are committed to is Autism awareness and research.

Joshua Rowland’s son has autism. When he was diagnosed, it was a challenge to find answers, help, and a safe community on which to lean on for support. We have been passionate about changing that and helping other families and children with special needs find information they need, speech therapy, as well as events where families can come together and support one another.

We are passionate about spreading awareness and removing the stigma of children and adults with special needs. We believe  in hiring adults with autism and work with other local Houston companies to provide jobs and show the world that they are capable individuals who deserve a chance to be independent and thrive.

Through multiple avenues, we are working to do our part and build a community. Beacon Hearts and the Beacon Plumbing team participates in charity events, donates funds, and their time, to children’s hospitals and autism research. We are focused on broadening our reach by educating our customers on what we are doing, and how they can help.

Beacon Hearts does not stop at helping children and adults with special needs, we are invested in making our community a better place. Our technicians spend minimum 60 hours each year donating their time to local soup kitchens, children’s hospitals, and charities close to their own hearts.

Each month, we choose a new local women and children’s shelter to support by donating much needed items. We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items and gently worn clothing, bedding, diapers, and toys.

Get Involved: Receive $20 off any service by donating at least 5 items of non-perishable food and gently used clothing.

Our newest Initiative, the Beacon Hearts Best Buddy Program, has just launched to fill a gap of underfunded activities for children with special needs. Through our Best Buddy Program, Beacon Hearts provides funding for special events for the children as well as transportation to and from special activities, sports, and other group events.

As a company, we are proud of the team effort of Beacon Hearts. During the holidays, we visit children’s hospitals bringing gifts and toys to brighten spirits and we get involved on a personal level by giving our time. We look forward to growing Beacon Hearts throughout the Houston area and invite our customers to learn more and find ways you can make a difference.
